Birthing Truth: A Collection Of Freebirth Stories

Surya’s head gently popped out. I watched it slightly turn, and with another breath his little body was born. He looked just like a little water angel with his arms and legs out wide under water. I picked up his slimy little body and held him close. Sebastian stood behind me, and Surya looked right up at me and then to him, he was so peaceful and calm.

The day that my son was born, my daughter approached me and told me that today was the day that our baby would be born.  Sure enough, that night, I was awakened by surges that started around one in the morning.  I meditated through them until the early morning when I woke up my husband and asked him to start getting things set up.  

I kept labouring, and when I started to feel that intense pressure to push, I decided to get in the water.  My partner helped me in, and a few contractions later, the baby started to crown.  The head was born, and the body followed just a few contractions later.  The cord was wrapped around the neck just like my other two, and I calmly unwrapped it and relaxed back into the water in amazement.

As we got to the shoreline, we were greeted by a whole school of dolphins swimming and playing about! The walking really increased the intensity and frequency of the surges of power building up in my womb. I started to sing a song each time they came… "Strong winds, Deep water, Tall trees, Warm fire, I can feel it in my body, I can feel it in my soul!”
