My undisturbed birth allowed me to set my own timescale with what happened afterwards. Everything could unfold in my own time, when it felt right to do so. I had 2 hours of constant skin to skin with Fox after the birth and briefly handed him to Jay whilst I rinsed the blood and fluids off myself with water. After laying down, Zachary gave me some herbs to stop bleeding and for the pains. I also learned that placenta helps stop bleeding, so we cut off a small chunk and I placed it in my cheek.
